We finally got the 86 Formula MX and 88 Formula MX out on the snow to try them out. We had them out on Rice Lake for their first run and everything went well. A little fine tuning left to do but they run and ride pretty well.

We created these! The 88 left, 86 right. What a difference from what we started with.

The finished product. Two trailworthy sleds for a fraction of the cost of new. What you can't see is the big smiles under out helmets. It was very rewarding to finally get to ride these two beasts.

I had a '85 MX and a '90 Mach 1. On one of them I put ski skins on them to cover up the bottom of the bashed in skis. I think the handling was worse after that. If you can get some cheap aftermarket skis, I'd go with them.
